Dr. Sheila Edwards Lange
President, Seattle Central College
Dr. Edwards Lange has a wide range of experience in higher education administration and has been a leading advocate for diversity and social justice throughout her career. In 2015, she started her tenure as president of Seattle Central. Prior to this, she served as vice president for Minority Affairs and vice provost for Diversity at the University of Washington. Edwards Lange, who has devoted much of her time to community building, has served on a number of committees and boards related to higher education access and diversity.

Na’ah Illahee Fund
Susan Balbas, Cherokee and Yaqui Nations descendant, is the founder and Executive Director of Na’ah Illahee Fund, a Pacific Northwest women’s fund dedicated to supporting and promoting the leadership of Indigenous women and girls, focused on advancing socio-economic and environmental justice. Ms. Balbas holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Teaching. Former positions include management positions in the corporate sector, and Executive Director of Native American Youth and Family Center in Portland. Learn more about Susan’s leadership.
Monica is the CFO at Avvo, an online legal marketplace that connects consumers to the quality legal help they need. Monica leads the Finance, Human Resources, Data Analytics, and Facilities teams. Before joining Avvo in 2014, Monica was the Vice President of Finance & Operations and CFO at Allrecipes.com for seven years. Under her tenure, the company grew into the world’s largest digital food brand. She participates in the Advisory Board for 100% Talent and the Women’s Business Council for the Women’s Funding Alliance.
