Remembering Leah C. McCollough

The Leah C. McCollough Legacy Fund is in memory of WFA’s board president who passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2009. Leah had been on our board for five years, serving as president for the last two years. She was a dynamic, smart, strategic leader who helped galvanize our board around an ambitious new direction for WFA. Her leadership and vision provided us with exactly what we needed at a crucial time in WFA’s history. To all who knew her, she was an engaging presence who knew just the right thing to say at the right time, and always left you feeling good about yourself. We miss her terribly and are now charged with continuing her legacy of love, inspiration, encouragement and leadership.
Leah's Family has created a blog and Facebook page: In Loving Memory of Leah C. Mcollough on which to share information, thoughts and memories about Leah. To make a gift to the Fund in Leah’s honor, please click here and specify that you are honoring her in the “in memory of” section. Over the next few months, WFA will be in communication with Leah’s family on the best way to continue Leah’s work in the community through these funds. As soon as those decisions are made, we will update this page with that information.
Leah's service in Seattle included remarks by Leah's Brother, Doug McCollough, and WFA Executive Director, LeAnne Moss.
