Join us at the Seattle Storm “Go
Green” game on September 6th!
Support the Storm and help women and girls! WFA is working
with the nationally-based Good Deed Foundation to recycle old
and unused cell phones to raise money to lift women and families
out of poverty and find lasting solutions to climate change.
Buy discount tickets for the game by clicking
here. Bring
your old and unused cell phones to the game, drop them off
at the Women’s Funding Alliance table inside the west doors
at KeyArena, and we will make sure your good deed supports
this good cause!

& Kitsap Counties
Wednesday, June 18, 2008, Noon - 2:00 pm
Seattle City Hall, Boards and Commissions Room, 600 Fourth
Ave, Seattle

Countless women and girls all over the world
suffer the trauma of war – as widows or orphans and perhaps
displaced from their homes. They are often separated from
loved ones and become victims of violence and intimidation.
Yet these women are also resilient and resourceful, and are
taking control of their future. Join Pradeepta Upadhyay of
CHAYA and Sahra Fahra Bashir of Somali Community Services
of Seattle and Liezl Rebugio and Friendly Vang Johnson of
National Asian Pacific Women’s Forum to discuss the humanitarian
challenges of women in war. Light refreshments provided.
